There’s something incredibly powerful about watching a young woman step into her purpose — and when you’ve had the privilege of mentoring her, it’s even more inspiring.
For the past three years, I’ve had the honor of coaching Raelynn Pickup on the Holy Family High School Mock Trial team. From day one, Raelynn has embodied passion, grit, and compassion — and now, she’s taken those traits beyond the courtroom to make a real difference in her community.
Meet Project Accessibility
At just 18 years old, Raelynn founded Project Accessibility, an initiative focused on addressing period poverty in Colorado. The statistics are staggering: a 2022 report by Justice Necessary found that 47% of Colorado women experience period poverty — a crisis that too often goes unseen and unspoken.
Raelynn decided to be the voice that speaks up and the hands that help. Through donation drives and partnerships with organizations like @marisolwomen_co in Denver, she’s delivered hundreds of essential feminine hygiene products to women and girls who desperately need them.
Why This Matters
Period poverty isn’t just an issue of convenience — it’s about dignity, health, and opportunity. When girls don’t have access to necessary products, they miss school, sports, and experiences that shape their futures. Raelynn’s work ensures fewer young women are forced to make those impossible choices.
How You Can Help
What I love most about Raelynn is her action-oriented heart. She’s made it easy for all of us to get involved through her Amazon and Walmart registries — giving donors a direct way to contribute and make an impact. Scan the QR Codes below to donate now!
