Miracles for Maddy
Bridging the technology gaps in healthcare and education for life-changing impact.
Miracles for Maddy was founded in loving memory of my goddaughter, Maddy, who tragically passed away before her first birthday due to respiratory complications from Cystic Fibrosis and Down Syndrome. As a proud neurodivergent changemaker, I am dedicated to ensuring that every individual with a disability has access to life-changing technology. Together, we can create a brighter future and empower those in need.

Accessible Learning
Around 240 million children worldwide live with disabilities that require specialized tools to thrive in educational settings. Shockingly, 90% of these students lack access to the assistive technology they need in their classrooms. Assistive technology encompasses a range of resources designed to support learning, including screen readers, captioning, and speech-to-text software. Without these vital tools, countless students with disabilities are left behind every day, missing out on the opportunity to succeed and reach their full potential.
The Impact
Aly is proud to be making strides in transforming the educational landscape for students in Colorado. Through her efforts in securing grant funding, she is actively working to ensure that no school is left behind in providing essential resources for every learner. While she has made significant progress, we remain committed to fully realizing our vision of equitable access to support for all students in the classroom.
On the Horizon
Aly's vision reaches far beyond Colorado as she seeks to expand our initiative to both national and global levels. By applying her unique strategies and insights, she is committed to collaborating with stakeholders across the country. Together, we aim to amplify our impact and foster a more inclusive educational environment for all students, paving the way for meaningful change on a broader scale.
Transforming Health
Nearly one billion children and adults worldwide live with disabilities, yet many lack access to the adaptive and wearable technology that could transform their lives. These essential tools are not just conveniences; they can be life-saving and can significantly enhance the quality of life for those who need them most. Imagine a child who could participate fully in school activities, or an adult who could gain independence in their daily life, all thanks to the right technology. Unfortunately, far too many are left behind due to the lack of resources and support. The mission of Miracles for Maddy is to bridge this gap, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
Life Saving
Wearable technology can be a game changer for individuals with disabilities, offering life-saving features that enhance safety and well-being. These devices can monitor vital signs, detect falls, and alert caregivers in emergencies, providing peace of mind for users and their families. By seamlessly integrating into daily life, wearable tech empowers individuals to live more independently while ensuring that help is always within reach. In critical moments, these innovations can make all the difference, transforming lives and saving lives.
The Impact
Aly is dedicated to forging strong relationships with key stakeholders in the healthcare community to bridge the gap between individuals with disabilities and the transformative technology that can significantly improve their lives. By leveraging these new partnerships alongside her established connections with government leaders, she is committed to turning this vision into reality.
Quality of Life
Adaptive technologies play a crucial role in improving the quality of life for individuals living with disabilities. From communication devices that foster connection to mobility aids that promote independence, these tools empower users to navigate their environments with confidence. By providing essential support, adaptive technologies enable individuals to participate fully in everyday activities, enhancing their overall well-being and allowing them to lead richer, more fulfilling lives.
Maddy's Legacy
At just five months old, Maddy faced severe respiratory complications due to Cystic Fibrosis and Down Syndrome. As her godmother, I understood from the moment of her diagnosis that her life would be uniquely challenging. However, I never anticipated that I would only have her in my life for such a brief time. This profound loss led me to ponder: if she were still here, what obstacles would she face, and how could I help her live the best life possible? This question ignited a spark within me, driving countless nights of research and fueling my journey as a passionate neurodivergent advocate for individuals living with disabilities. Since Maddy is no longer here to pursue her dreams, my goal is to ensure that every individual with a disability has the resources and tools they need to achieve their own.
